The Challenge:

Meritage Farms has a beautiful 120’x240’ Cover-All arena with 3-4” of sawdust footing. They had to use a total of 1000 gallons of water per day, applied at 3 different times to keep the dust down enough to ride. The fans in the arena dried out the sawdust quickly, creating a need for more water. All the water and heat created a very humid environment, and condensation in the arena.

The Solution:

Meritage Farms applied 1 dose of MAG^® (amount customized to their footing) to the sawdust in the indoor and worked it in thoroughly. They also stopped applying water to the footing.

The Result:

They have no dust and much less condensation. In addition, they are realizing a material and labor savings by not having to apply 1000 gallons of water per day. The fans can still be used, but the footing never dries out. Also, they have not had any footing freezing this winter.

"We have had our facility for 4 years now and living in cold Wisconsin always throws a problem in the winter. We all want to ride and even though we have an indoor arena (72x120) it was always far to dusty to ride. It would be to the point you were covered in a layer of dust. We tried several different products like EZ All which just froze our arena anyway.. We finally heard about MAG and although expensive they talked me through how it works so we took the chance. We really didn't think it would work at all as the products before didn't work but let me tell you it's now Jan and it was negative temps and our arena is still DUST FREE and NOT FROZEN!
